For today’s assignment, you are going to review a website (http://2008.bloggies.com/) that lists the best blogs of 2008. The site has many different categories, like best music blog, best American blog, and best teen blog. Choose a blog, particularly one that you enjoy, and write a review (8-10 sentences). This will be the final assignment of the week. Enjoy your weekend and stay safe.

Review a Blog
For my review, I reviewed the most humorous blog. I have to tell you, that blog was not funny at all. It was a blog that featured a ton of little “quote conversations” that were supposed to be funny. Each quote was basically just people talking, not even telling jokes. Each one made me cringe more than the next. There was absolutely no punch line to any of the jokes, if you could call them jokes. Well, overall I think this was a very bad blog. This last sentence is only here so I can have eight sentences.
This year the Boston Bruins have been having a great year. Both their goalies, Tim Thoomas and Manny Fernandez, have been having great years. Also having a great year is Phil Kessel. He is leading the team with 24 goals.Milan Lucic is also having a good year by physcing up the team by winning his fights. Right now they are on top of the eastern conference and this is the first time in awhile. But the last two games they have played they have lost. Yet they got back to their old ways last night against Ottawa by winning 6-4. It was tied 3-3 going into the third when David Krejci scored to make it 4-3 Bruins. Then 4 minutes later MArc Savard scored and PJ Axelsson scored an empty net goal.
So the blogs on the website http://2008.bloggies.com/, a.k.a the website that Mr. Savage gave, were all terrible. I looked on the music blog, they had all artists that i have never heard of, along with boring uninteresting layouts and writings. I only found about two of the overall categories interesting, but the blogs within them, all completely terrible. Every single blog was either, 1. uninteresting, 2. boring layout that neither caught your eye or even made it seem the least bit interesting, or 3. had things that were irrelevant to the blog category that they were in. So overall, this bloglist was absoloutly terrible.
The blogs on the site were terrible. The music category only feature artists I have NEVER heard of. The rest of the blogs are also terrible. There were absolutely no blogs that I enjoyed. This site is bad in general. I mean the winners of the blog categories only get $20.08 for winning. The layouts were aweful, and boring to say the least. The site is pointless, and they should have better blogs!

For my review, i reviewed the best sports blog. I thought it was a really stupid blog, it was long and boring.It was about some guy that cant visualize things, so he has to do the task to see how it works. The thing that he told us that he did was ride his bike and see how everything works. I dont know how he won the best sports article but somehow he did. The article was very long, i dont kno how anyone could ever sit down to take the time to right about something boring for so long, but i congradulate him for doin so.
The "Overheard in New York" blog is humorous blog.
This blog is a collection of funny conversations overheard from people in New York. The blogger puts names for the people whether it be "Women #2, Creepy guy, Boy, Girl" just how every the author rememberd them by. The titles for each blog post are related some how to the conversation in a funny way.The updates are by different people that are apart of this blog. when they hear something funny they will post it up on this blog. The blog also does a wendsday one liner post where they post one liners that they had heard that wendsday. such as a messenger bike rider shouted out "can anyone spare $50,000". This Blog easily won the best humorous blog of 2008
Geekologie is a blog site that was nominated for the best computer and electronics blog of 2008. It lost to Lifehacker, which is a good technolog blog but doesn't compare to the humor that comes from the Geekologie blog. Geekologie has tantalized the nerve cells of many nerds with “Gadgets, Gizmos, and Awesome.” It was started in April of 2006 with a post about five girls that hung Mario Kart boxes around their town. Now the posts range from guys beating their girlfriends with cheeseburgers to fiber optic placemats and formerly extinct creatures. The writer is known only as the superficial writer, and has not show a picture of himself. I highly recommend that you go to Geekologie.com for your daily dose of entertainment.
I am just going to review the site because it absolutely sucked.The blogs that were nominated or won were either bolocked by the school or were absolutely pointless. First of all the prize for being a winner is $20.08. That is ridiculous. One of the bloggs was all about gossip which consisted of the latest Lyndsay Lohan news and about "OMG Jake Gyllenhaal is jogging down the street and I have pictures!" The site is probably run by one person who is the same who judges the blogs. The man probably just choses one because he likes the name or he has read so many posts that he doesnt care anymore. The site has only been running for 8 years, too, would you even care if you won for a category and got a huge amount of $20?

Vikingjournalism.blogspot.com is the completely worst BLOG EVER, I don't even know why I am going to post this comment because this blog is completely un-worthy of a comment by the Great Mitchell Hamelin aka "The Hornet" Fleischman.

looks like im gunna have to do this one again. in my opinion the material in the blogs became completely irrelevated when i saw that the winner gets 2,008 cents. that is just lame and ridiculous. also the judging of the bajillion different categories is absurd. there were so many categories that winning one would be of no importance. this reminds me...the fact that the winner gets a discounted price to attend the ceremonies is insane. they should be fully accomodated for they work that they hae done andthe excellence they have contributed to the blogosphere. read my last post titled "do you have the time please". dont cry from laughing too hard. - The Duck
